Michael J. Parsons

Principal

Mike Parsons manages financial and regulatory matters for Momentum. A lifelong resident of Albany, he attended McMurry University in Abilene and graduated with a B.B.A. degree in finance. He received a graduate degree in banking and finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and advanced degrees from the American Institute of Banking in Washington D.C.

Mike is currently serving in his thirty-fourth year as a Director/Officer of the Shackelford County Livestock Show Association, and he is a former member of the Board of Directors for First Financial Bank of Abilene as well as the West Texas Rehabilitation Center. He has also served as an officer and director of the Albany United Way, Shackelford County Airport Board, City of Moran Housing Authority, Shackelford County Hospital District, Albany Chamber of Commerce, Albany Athletics Booster Club, Shackelford County Historical Society and Aztec Theater Foundation. He is a former board member of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers, West Texas Chamber of Commerce, American Institute of Banking, and Ben Richey Boys Ranch.

Bob Tidwell

Principal

Bob Tidwell oversees production in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico for our companies. Bob graduated from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos (now Texas State University) with a degree in business. He is a member of the third generation of his family to work in the oil and gas industry. He has more than 35 years of experience managing his family’s oil and natural gas production and service companies. Bob served as a member of the Albany City Council and the Board of Directors for the Shackelford County Hospital District. He has also served on the board of the Albany Economic Development Council. He is an active member of Independent Petroleum Association of America.

Don Tidwell

Principal

A third generation oilman, Don Tidwell oversees production in all operating regions for our companies. He studied geology at Texas A&M University. He has more than 40 years of experience generating prospects, overseeing production, analyzing acquisitions over the entire Mid-Continent area, and engineering reworks of existing wells.

Lynn Tidwell Neff

Principal

Lynn Tidwell Neff performs a variety of financial and administrative duties for Momentum just as she has for her family’s production and service companies for more than 35 years. Also a member of the third generation of her family to work in the oil and natural gas industry, she is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos (now Texas State University).  Lynn currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Albany Economic Development Council.

Karen Massey, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Karen Massey serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Momentum Operating Co., Inc. and affiliated companies, and she is responsible for providing strategic financial guidance to senior management and maintaining strong relationships with our banks and equity partners. Karen attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1992. She brings more than 30 years of experience to Momentum in both public and oil and gas accounting.

Megaen Birdwell

Land Manager

Megaen Birdwell serves as Land Manager to Momentum Operating Co., Inc. and its affiliated companies. Her primary duties are landowner relations, title work, and regulatory reporting to agencies such as the Texas Railroad Commission. Megaen attended Texas Tech University before receiving her degree from The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. She has done extensive land work in Kansas, Illinois, and in East and West Texas prior to joining Momentum.
